DOVADO initiates operations

A new company, by the name of DOVADO has been created for the development of new products and solutions relating to broadband wireless technologies. The approach of DOVADO will be to invest in integration of third-party components and delivering to current and upcoming operators working with the 3G/UMTS TDD (Time-Division Duplex) variant of Radio Access Networks. The company, which is privately held, is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and has a Representative Office for Research & Development purposes with associated partners in Stockholm, Sweden.

DOVADO shall assist operators in strengthening the value of broadband access for the delivery of applications such as Telephony and Internet at a low deployment and operational cost utilizing state-of-the-art wireless standards over large distances. The success of the business case is based on the fact that voice is still the leading cash-cow in the telecom farm today.
