SENTECH launches DOVADO VoIP test in South Africa

SENTECH a leading ICT company in South Africa has decided to test, on a selected basis DOVADO VoIP offering at its premises in Gauteng, making use of the well-branded MyWireless services based on the 3G/UMTS-TDD standards. As an operator, the reach, freedom and speed of MyWireless has been used to market the message for the wireless internet access. To complement that offering, SENTECH has the aim to add the power of voice and fax communication as a second group of services. In a commercial phase, SENTECH subscribers will be able to gain many advantages in a more deregulated telecom environment; those being competitive pricing as well as extra value-added services.

With a simple Plug-and-Play approach to the subscriber, the DOVADO Residential Gateway (RG) offers Ethernet and Analog Telephony interfaces, now a globally-deployed standard; to connect their devices and be part of a Wireless Broadband Access and Telephony network in mere seconds.

The DOVADO Portfolio offers operators to deploy voice in a more managed and cost-efficient manner in order to maintain a large network without complications in commissioning, provisioning and supporting the deployed lines.
