Press ReleaseDOVADO adds CDMA450
DOVADO's recent successful launch of its latest product, the UMR (USB Mobile Broadband Router), has attracted owners of 3G USB mobile broadband subscriptions from far and wide due to its attractive price and extensive support for a wide range of USB mobile modems available on the market today. As mobile broadband is now finding its way throughout the planet, different criteria are met with different solutions. One such is the introduction of CDMA-EVDO technology, which is one of the three main technology flavors in 3G, next to WCDMA and TD-SCDMA. DOVADO has begun to work with the standard and as an introduction, has provided support for the first of many such modems to come. The first such modem is based on the 450Mhz band, better known as CDMA450, which allows users to log onto the internet from out-of-reach areas which tend to have poor or no service from operators using higher frequency alternatives.
With it's latest firmware release available for free from the company website, the UMR supports the widest range of USB modems on the market today, and is continuously firmware upgradable in order to support many more modems as they become introduced. The UMR can be used as an all-in-one access device within a home, office or onboard a vessel/vehicle. To read further on the DOVADO UMR, visit www.dovado.com/umr
