Swedish mobile operator 3 (Hi3G Access AB) has begun selling the DOVADO 3GN router together with its mobile broadband subscriptions. The solution can completely and quickly replace traditional broadband such as ADSL.

3 has identified a lack of routers on the market that support the high speeds which their Turbo 3G (HSPA+) network can deliver. 3 have therefore started a cooperation with DOVADO to offer their customers the DOVADO 3GN. With the help of a USB modem from 3, it is possible to reach up to speeds of 16Mbps. By connecting a 3 modem to the router's USB port, the DOVADO 3GN creates a WiFi zone where computers, smartphones, gaming consoles, and other devices can share the same mobile broadband connection.

It is also possible to connect the devices directly by Ethernet cable to any of the four Ethernet ports. And because it is a mobile broadband wireless network, it is easy to bring to other locations such as a cottage or boat.

However, with our fast mobile broadband offering speeds of up to 16Mbps in combination with the Dovado 3G router, we can now offer a real alternative to ADSL, thus allowing our customers to gain independence of their telephone jacks." , says Nicholas Högberg, Vice President of 3 Sweden.

The DOVADO 3GN is supplied with a USB modem from 3 along with a 3Bredband Plus or a 3Bredband Max subscription, depending on the selection of data speeds. The solution is sold online via www.tre.se as well as in 3's own stores as of June 23rd.

The DOVADO 3GN router can be firmware upgraded for the purpose of supporting newer and faster modems as 3 introduces them to the market.
