The DOVADO Wireless Residential Gateway (WRG) can be firmware-upgraded in order to capacitate newer 3G/UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, CDMA2000, FLASH-OFDM, iBurst and TD-CDMA PC card modems as operators evolve their networks from one technology to the next, thus not requiring subscribers to acquire a newer router for each later generation of introduced technology.
